Canary

Canary is set in 1984 in a Northern English village and focuses on Joseph Cole and Ernest Mills, two miners in a local. It follows their struggles against political events they cannot control and personal obstacles such as Ernest's mental state and Joe's worry for a childhood friend. It displays a community sticking together and banding in times of trouble but also the vast divide it caused within communities.
