Famous For Being Famous is an unofficial 150 minute art documentary comprised of archive interviews, paparazzi clips, and intertitles showcasing Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian's meteoric rise to fame. In 2005, Paris Hilton was the most googled item in the world and defined what it means to be a celebrity in the new millennium. Today, Paris has launched her brand on an international level while Kim Kardashian has dominated US headlines and amassed 50 million Instagram followers. Our culture has always been fascinated with elite members of society, but with the power of social media and reality television, more people than ever can obtain fame. Why is our culture so obsessed with these figures? Are the Kardashians destined to fade into obscurity or will they be able to turn their "15 minutes of fame" into 30?
